Description

Weber Griddle Seasoning Wax is essential for optimal performance. By creating a protective coating on your cooking surface, this wax allows food to easily lift. Its high-quality, high-smoke formula creates a long-lasting seasoning layer that will help your griddle cook its best and stay that way for many meals to come.

‱ The coating created helps protect your hotplate
‱ Develops a layer of seasoning so food lifts easily
‱ Made with grapeseed oil, canola oil, and beeswax (sourced from U.S. bee farms)
‱ Antibacterial beeswax binds oils for a solid layer of seasoning, smoother application and no sticky residue

  1. Apply 1 teaspoon of Weber Griddle Seasoning Wax with a lint-free cotton cloth to the entire griddle surface – front to back, side to side, including the inside and outside of the side walls.
  2. Use a separate cloth to wipe off any excess seasoning wax so that the surface is evenly coated.
  3. Turn the burners on high. The surface will begin to smoke and darken (about 10 minutes).
  4. If oil begins to bead on the surface, using oven mitts, hold a paper towel with tongs to wipe excess oil from the griddle.
  5. When the surface stops smoking (about another 20 to 30 minutes), turn off the heat on the griddle. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes.
  6. The griddle now has 1 layer of seasoning. Repeat steps 1-5 at least 2 more times to build your seasoning,
