This spicy-sweet rub for pork and poultry is very versatile. It starts off mild and ends with a light aftertaste, much like Meat Church's ever-popular Holy Voodoo. It's fantastic on ribs, pulled pork, chicken, turkey, seafood, smoked cream cheese, and popcorn.
The blend is mild, but not overly sweet. In fact, it's less sweet than 6 of our current seasonings. Texas Sugar is just a catchy name Meat Church always wanted to use!
The history of this seasoning goes back to Matt's barbecue competitions. Many people have been "paid" at barbecue competitions by using this rub on their ribs, pork, and chicken at KCBS and IBCA competitions.
Ingredients: Sugar, honey powder (refined syrup, honey), salt, spices, paprika, dehydrated garlic and dehydrated onion.
